Welcome to Everyday Swim Kirklees!
The Everyday Swim pilot for the Yorkshire and Humber region took place in Kirklees. The project focused on tackling Health Inequalities and making swimming ‘Fun for all’ and key local partners included Kirklees Council, Kirklees Active Leisure, West Yorkshire Sport, and the Primary Care Trust.
This Everyday Swim Kirklees pilot concluded in April 2008.
Swimming legend Duncan Goodhew MBE thrilled staff, customers and children at Dewsbury Sports Centre when he launched Everyday Swim in Kirklees.
A week of exciting pool-based activities and a swimming legend will help to launch a unique project in Kirklees.
Spenborough Pool’s new diving course was such a success that it is being run throughout the summer holidays.
Local staff now have the opportunity to take the ‘Flip and Fun’ Level 1 Diving qualification!
